Project Overview:
A behavioural assessment consultancy specialising in DISC profiling for SMEs in the UK. Medium-sized affiliate network.
My Role:
Initially joined as an affiliate, building a rapport with the founder before being invited to take on the Communications Lead role on a freelance basis. Served in this capacity for two years, also co-hosting weekly webinars.
Key Objectives:
Raise awareness and adoption of DISC profiling in SMEs.
Deliver consistent, engaging communications aligned with organisational goals.
Strengthen brand presence through webinars, content creation, and strategy.
Actions Taken:
Webinar Hosting: Coordinated with hosts and guest speakers on topics, agendas, and flow; prepared slides and visuals; repurposed webinar highlights into social clips, blogs, and infographics.
Strategy & Planning: Designed a comprehensive communications strategy, aligning content with events, campaigns, and product launches.
Content Creation & Oversight: Produced newsletters, social media posts, press releases, blogs, and website updates; oversaw graphic design and video production; managed an editorial calendar.
Internal Communications: Ensured affiliates and staff were informed on key developments; supported leadership with speeches and talking points.
Brand Consistency & Monitoring: Maintained adherence to brand tone, style, and design; monitored metrics to optimise reach and engagement.
Outcomes & Impact:
Increased awareness of DISC profiling within target SME audiences, maintained consistent communications output, and strengthened the organisation’s professional image.
Affiliateship grew by 75%, LI audience increased by 60%. Engagement increased across the board - Webinar attendance increased by 60%.
